Hi Stephanie, and welcome to planDisney.
I am truly sorry to hear about your loss, and I am forever grateful and indebted to your late husband for his service and sacrifice. I have the utmost respect for the military community, and I am honored to help you plan your next Disney adventure.
The best resource to confirm eligibility for military-related discounts is
Shades of Green. Their
Eligibility section clearly outlines who qualifies and what documentation is required, including the various DD Forms you may need to present. If it turns out that you are not eligible through Shades of Green, you still have other avenues available. Your
local Military Base Information, Tickets and Travel Office, Leisure Travel Office, or Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Program can often guide you toward benefits you may qualify for.
You will also want to take a look at the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page on the Walt Disney World website. This is where you will find current promotions available to all Guests. At the moment, and always subject to change, you will see offers like savings on a 4 Night 4 Day Room and Ticket Package, a Spring Ticket Offer for Disney+ subscribers, Free Dining Plan for Kids ages three to nine in 2026, and several discounts for Annual Passholders. It is always worth checking whether something there aligns with your plans.
Stephanie, once you have a better sense of your eligibility and which discounts you may want to use, come back to planDisney and
send a few more questions my way. Based on your budget, travel party size, and what you hope to experience, I would be glad to help you choose a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, map out your park days, make dining plans, and share even more ways to save. Just say the word.
See you real soon!
Brent
