Hi Jo Anna!
I think your boys will love any resort hotel at Walt Disney World. While they all have a different theme and some have more services and amenities than others, they are all very kid friendly and fun!
For a Disney Value Resort, I recommend
Pop Century. I think most young guests will enjoy the theme, the rooms are nice, and the food court is fabulous! It is the most recently built Value resort.
For a Disney Moderate Resort, I recommend you consider
Port Orleans Riverside or the
Caribbean Beach Resort. I personally love Port Orleans Riverside, especially the Alligator Bayou section of the resort. My family loves the pool; it has a very long slide. I also have to recommend the Caribbean Beach because young guests really love that resort, especially the pool as it is fantastic! Your children may also love the pirate-themed rooms at the resort. Caribbean Beach Resort is a very large resort; I suggest looking at a map and then making a room request based on what's important to your family. You can find a map on the independent site AllEars.Net.
When deciding between a Value and a Moderate resort, you should give some thought into how much time you will be spending there. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, because you plan on being in the theme parks the rest of the time, then it's hard to beat Pop Century. However, if you're looking to spend some time at the resort hotel, such as swimming one afternoon, then the extra amenities and services might be worth it. A hotel's pool is very important to my children and they absolutely want a water slide; thus my family usually stays in Deluxe or Moderate resorts because none of the Value resorts have a slide.
