why won't it save for my friends and family to only "show shared plans"

Hi, Diana!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My Disney Experience makes it easy to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your family and friends.  Once everyone in your group is linked using the My Disney Experience Family & Friends List, you will be able to plan vacation details such as dining reservations and FastPass+ selections together with your entire travel party.  You can even manage these plans on the go with the My Disney Experience mobile app.

The My Disney Experience Family & Friends List allows you to specify if you would like to show your friends and family members only your shared plans.  That way, if members of your party have multiple Walt Disney World Resort visits planned, you will only see plans for when you are vacationing together in your My Disney Experience accounts.  If you are having difficulty getting this feature to work, I would recommend calling the Help Center number listed for My Disney Experience, MagicBands, and FastPass+.  The Help Center Cast Members can clear up most issues like this quicker than you can say, "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!"
