Why won't it let me book a third fast pass at Epcot? It says something about I have already booked a fast pass from these options i.e. Test track so it won't allow me to book Soarin as well. Why not?

    Hi Jennifer!

Booking your park FastPasses is an important part of the planning for your Walt Disney World vacation. For guests who have never experienced this it can be a bit intimidating and confusing. I personally still prefer the old paper FastPass but they are gone and I am embracing the new technology.

There are several parks that have what they call a Tiered system for the FastPasses. This means they will have a few attractions in Tier 1 and the rest in Tier 2. Guests are allowed only one choice from Tier 1 and then two choices from Tier 2 to equal the three allowed per day. The parks that have tiered FastPasses include Epcot, Hollywood Studio, and now Animal Kingdom. Disney has done this to try to keep lines and wait times for the attractions within reason and have lumped the most popular attractions together in Tier 1.

If you have chosen Test Track for one of your FastPasses during your Epcot day that one is a Tier 1 choice. Soarin' is also a Tier 1 choice and therefore it would not allow you to choose both of them. Now comes the hard part.....which do you keep as a FastPass and which do you do as a standby line. My suggestion is to use the FastPass for Test Track and do Soarin' as standby. They have added another theater for Soarin' this past year and the lines do go a bit faster. If you can arrive at park opening and get to Soarin' right away this is the plan to make.

It is always tough to have to choose between great choices when you only get one for a FastPass. Many guests find they have to head back to some parks for a second day to see it all without waiting in long lines. My own family HAS to do everything so it takes some careful planning to make it happen during our Disney vacations!
