Hello Kristina!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm a huge fan of Memory Maker and the Disney PhotoPass Service. I love taking family photos everywhere and memorializing every magical moment. My kids may not share in the excitement but sometimes "what mama wants, mama gets," and mama wants nice family photos for once.
When purchasing Memory Maker One Day or the regular Memory Maker, it is linked to a specific
MyDisney account. If you haven't linked Memory Maker yet to your account you can
do that here! Once Memory Maker is linked to a specific MyDisney account it becomes the only account that can download all of the
pictures from your trip. If you wish to share these pictures with your family then you will have to download them under your account and share them in the ways you normally share photos. When I share my photos with family I just "zip" the files into a compressed folder and email it to them. Sometimes I just share my account information with the most trusted family members to just download the images themselves. However, as with all accounts and passwords, access to your MyDisney account gives them access to quite a bit and that could lead to some awkward moments. Imagine how weird it would be to kick Uncle Brad off your
Disney+ account while he is in the middle of watching X-Men '97. It could lead to some awkward family moments when someone mentions the fate of Wolverine.
While looking at your photos you could also consider adding on a
fun ornament or photo book to give to your family as a way to remember your family with a treasured special item. One Christmas, I gifted all of the families that traveled with me to Walt Disney World Resort a photo book detailing the entire trip. It was a big hit!
I hope this helps and if you have any questions please feel free to
let me know!
Happy Planning!
