Hi Christie,
Greetings from a fellow Hoosier! I LOVE hearing that you're thinking about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in December. With gorgeous decorations, festive music, and some of my favorite
special events of the entire year like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Processional, it's a wonderful time to visit that will certainly fill your heart with holiday joy!
With the new date-based pricing model, you'll find that ticket prices do fluctuate from day to day. The pricing model is based more on expected crowd level than park hours, so if you're able to visit on a lower-priced day, not only should you enjoy shorter wait times and smaller crowds, but you'll also have a few extra dollars for that delicious Mickey-shaped snack that's calling your name. (I personally can't resist a Mickey pretzel with cheese sauce! Mmm...) Before you decide for sure what day you'd like to visit, though, I'd suggest checking the
calendar to see what the park hours will be for the different days you're considering as they definitely can vary from week to week. Once you decide, I'd recommend
purchasing your ticket online ahead of time so that you can link it to your My Disney Experience account and make
FastPass+ selections before you arrive. The FastPass+ service is complimentary and will save you lots of time waiting in lines, allowing you to experience even
more magic and fun!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christie, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your visit. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
