Hi there, Paulette!
Here at planDisney, we're positively
wild about helping Guests with questions about their upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacations. I'm so glad you stopped by! Can you believe that you're less than one month away from the magic, Paulette? Let's dig in to your question so that you can start making those dining reservations!
I hope you love
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park as much as I do, Paulette. My perfect Disney day involves a
safari through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, narrowly escaping a
Yeti in Asia, a hug from two Chipmunk-O-Sauruses, and a
hearty meal in Pandora - The World of Avatar, so in my opinion, too many Guests don't allocate enough time to enjoy the diverse dining, thrilling attractions, captivating entertainment, and wildlife encounters at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I'm so glad that's not the case for you, Paulette!
Since the dining at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is so delicious, I'm sorry to hear that you are having difficulties securing
reservations during your vacation. I just conducted a quick search for the week of your arrival date in the My Disney Experience app and saw limited availability for various party sizes throughout the day. With lots of schools on a Fall Break during early to mid-October, this has become an increasingly popular time for Guests in recent years. Because people often modify their plans, I suggest periodically checking availability as your vacation approaches. I've even had success securing same-day reservations at Walt Disney World's most popular restaurants as people cancel just before the fee-free window expires. If you're unable to snag a desired reservation before your vacation all hope is not lost, Paulette! You can inquire about walk-up availability directly with a Cast Member at each restaurant or through
mobile walk-up in the My Disney Experience app.
As a bonus tip: If you're in need of a quick bite, I suggest checking out
Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafe for lunch or dinner,
Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery for breakfast, or
Trilo-Bites for a snack. Feel free to stop back by for more recommendations!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
