Why does it say that I have to pick up my magic band at the resort? My trip is not until November 2019.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tomika! MagicBands are an essential part of any Walt Disney World Resort vacation! My whole family has customized bands compliments of our last Disney Resort Hotel stay. Nicknames and color choices were a fun planning session for the kids to weigh in on. It made them feel like they were a part of the process!

Your default option for MagicBand pickup will always be your Resort Hotel’s Front Desk, but when you customize them in My Disney Experience, you’ll have the option to have the MagicBands sent to your home a few weeks before you depart. They are usually sent out 11 days after customization, and a month or so before your hotel check-in date. Opening my mailbox to see the box makes my vacation all the more real! You can always purchase graphic MagicBands from ShopDisney.com if you’d like a limited edition band or something that suits your style. Feel free to decorate your solid bands with stickers, markers, or vinyl decals to make it your own! I tend to stay away from decorating the center puck so I can change it out or stick it in a MagicKeeper keychain.

If I can help you continue to plan within My Disney Experience or help you find a special tour or event for your family, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
