Why does it say festival of the lion king and Nemo will be closed on 1/23/2025 at animal kingdom? Will these shows be unavailable at that time?

Hi Maria! Welcome to planDisney! A visit with Simba, Nemo, and all their pals will be perfect during your day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

I just visited the websites for Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! I also see that times are currently not listed beyond December 31, 2024. At this point, it’s just a little too soon for show times to be released for these live productions. But, Hakuna Matata and “just keep swimming” because it is only a matter of time before the sites will be updated with performance hours for January!

Festival of the Lion King is one of my family's favorite things to do during our day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We know all the songs and love to sing along to all of them! Be sure to arrive early for your preferred show time. Festival of the Lion King is a popular show! I recommend arriving about 30 minutes before the show time!

Come on back to the Walt Disney World Resort website in the coming days! You should see performance times listed soon!

    Dreams do come true!
