    Why are the room costs so much more expensive for the Jan and Feb races then the May and June races. I wanted to stay at my usual hotel Polynesian Resort for the Jan 2014 5k but its really expensive. Thanks

    Hi Bonnie!

    I don't have an official reason that the rooms are more expensive at certain times than others, but can venture a guess.  Disney usually bases their room rates on crowd levels, so I am guessing the room rates follow the same plan during race weekends.

    The two races in January and February are popular races, so that may factor in.  There is just one race in May, but none are in June.  The May race is a smaller race, so that could be why the rooms are cheaper during that time.  I think it all relates to the principle of "supply and demand".
