Hello Cory! Thank you for bringing your great question to planDisney, we're happy to help!
Standard
theme park tickets that are purchased by Guests will use a different
theme park reservation availability calendar than Disneyland Resort Magic Key passes. There are also several types of Magic Key passes, and they all have varying blockout dates where theme park reservations are not available for certain Magic Key pass types.
During busier times of year such as Holiday weekends, and Spring or Winter Break, there will be more Guests in the parks than usual, including Magic Key holders if they're able to secure reservations. You can view the
blockout dates for each Magic Key pass, and I hope that is helpful for you as you plan your trips to the "Happiest Place on Earth" throughout the year! There may be times where theme park reservations are not available for Magic Key holders because there are none remaining to book, or because certain Magic Key passes are blocked out. If your pass is not blocked out, I do recommend to keep checking back since plans change for Guests all the time!
I hope you're able to get back to the magic soon! Have you seen this
great article from the Disney Parks Blog about all of the exciting events taking place throughout the Disneyland Resort this year? I'm most excited for the return of
Pixar Fest and my favorite nighttime spectacular,
Fantasmic! I hope I've answered your question, Cory. If we can help with any other questions, please come back to planDisney and ask!
Have a magical day,
Melissa
