Disneyland Resort Halloween

Why are there more reservations available for regular ticket buyers and not for California resident ticket buyers? My family and I are looking to go in October and we can't reserve that month but our relatives from Arizona can.

Hi Leticia! Welcome to planDisney! I'd be happy to help navigate your magic carpet through these questions.

I can see that you are quite familiar with the theme park reservation system! If you are holding the current California Resident Ticket Offer, these tickets actually expire on September 15, 2022. Any days that you have on that ticket would need to be used ahead of that date, which is likely why you are not seeing availability for October. What I love about the California Resident Ticket is that, unlike a regular multi-day ticket, you can visit the park on non-consecutive days ahead of the expiration. I know this is not the pixie-dusted news you were hoping to hear, but I'm wishing upon a star that with this information you can now plan out the rest of the days remaining on your ticket.

I have two very good reasons to squeeze a few visits to the parks before September 15th! The first is that the Main Street Electrical Parade and the Disneyland Forever fireworks will make their farewell performances on September 1st. These nighttime spectaculars wrapped up in nostalgia are a do-not-miss since we don't know if or when they will be returning! The second is that Halloween Time officially kicks off on September 2nd! You will be able to experience all the happy haunts of Cars Land's Haul-O-Ween at Disney California Adventure Park or Haunted Mansion Holiday and the Main Street Pumpkin Festival at Disneyland Park!

When it comes to the theme park reservation system, each ticket type has its own pool of reservations. I understand this can sometimes be confusing. There is a chance that if you are holding a single-day ticket and a friend is holding a Park Hopper, you might both see different availability for the same dates. Just something to keep in mind for your planning!

Leticia, no matter when you decide to visit the Disneyland Resort, there is so much magic in store for you. Be sure to take some time to take it all in. It's so easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the parks, but it's in these quieter moments where the most magic finds you.

Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions! We are always here for you at planDisney.

    See ya real soon!
