Hi Bastiaan! Welcome to planDisney!
Only a couple more days away until you arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm sure you and your family cannot wait to step foot inside of the Disney Parks and take part in the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration! With so many new additions to the parks and resorts, your itinerary is going to be jam-packed during your stay!
Utilizing your
My Disney Experience account will help you organize your trip and plan your reservations properly. It looks like you are having a difficult time making park reservations for your children's park tickets. The first thing to check is the start date of your tickets. Judging by the error message that it provided you, this sounds like it may be the issue. If for some reason they do not start on August 7th, you'll need to modify the dates to coincide with the correct date.
If your park tickets are correct, I would consider switching the mode in which you are trying to make these reservations. If you are using a web browser on your computer, try downloading the My Disney Experience App to your mobile device and try making the reservations this way. Technology can sometimes be tricky and by no means am I the most tech-savvy individual, but I have had success going back and forth between these two options.
You also may want to check if you had previously made park reservations to another park by accident for these Guests. If so, the system will not allow you to modify your selection. You'll need to cancel your first park reservation, then go back and select
Disney's Hollywood Studios for this day. You will receive an error message if you attempted to make two reservations on the same day.
I did take a peek at the
theme park availability calendar and it is not currently showing any availability at Disney's Hollywood Studios on August 7th. It's possible that this may also be the reason why you are having trouble. If your tickets include the Park Hopper Option, you can always make park reservations to another park that has availability. Then, once you visit that first park, hop over to Hollywood Studios starting at 2 PM.
Bastiaan, I highly suggest reaching out to the
Walt Disney Travel Company and speaking to a Cast Member for technical assistance. I've run into issues in the past and they have always been able to help out.
I hope you have a magical Disney holiday!
See ya real soon!
