Susan, I recently had the same issue you are having. I was unable to fix this issue myself so I turned to our pixie-dusted Cast Members!
According to the Cast Member I spoke to, the My Disney Experience account system was prioritizing my
Disney Resort hotel stay over my annual passholder status. In turn, the Disney Park Pass reservation system was trying to make my reservations as a Disney Resort hotel Guest instead of as an annual passholder.
I had it all sorted out by speaking to a friendly Cast Member via the
V.I.PASSHOLDER support phone line. The telephone number for V.I.PASSHOLDER support is (407) WDW-PASS or (407) 939-7277. You can also
reach V.I.PASSHOLDER support via email or by accessing the online chat feature on the
Walt Disney World Resort help center website.
