Hey there, hi there, William! Welcome to planDisney!
Can you believe your Disneyland Resort visit is just around the corner? In just a couple of short weeks, you’ll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., with the sights, sounds, and scents of the
Halloween season all around you—how exciting! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question about dining reservations, because there are still plenty of delicious ways to make your visit extra magical.
Dining reservations open 60 days in advance, so bookings for your late October visit would have become available at the beginning of September. Some of the most popular spots—like
Blue Bayou Restaurant and
Carthay Circle Restaurant—often fill up quickly once reservations open, especially for smaller parties.
But don’t give up hope just yet! Guests frequently adjust their plans as their visit approaches, so openings can pop up at any time. I recommend checking the
dining reservations page early and often. Simply click “Check All Availability,” enter your party size, and select your preferred date and time. You can also make reservations in the
Disneyland mobile app. Just tap the plus (+) sign at the bottom of the screen, followed by “Check Dining Availability”. If you’re visiting for multiple days, you can conveniently search across a range of dates to see all your options. As of the time I’m writing this, I’m seeing lots of reservation openings in the
Downtown Disney District, which might be a great place to start your search!
While you’re at it, I also suggest trying the
mobile dine walk-up availability feature in the Disneyland mobile app. This handy tool allows you to join a same-day waitlist for select table-service restaurants—no reservation required! Just open the app, navigate to the dining section to view restaurants with walk-up availability, and join the list with just a few taps. It’s an awesome way to snag a spontaneous meal at some beloved spots.
And don’t forget—there are so many great snacks and quick-service options throughout the parks! From churros and Mickey-shaped pretzels to flavorful meals from places like
Pym Test Kitchen, there’s always something tasty just around the corner. I especially love using the mobile food and beverage ordering feature in the Disneyland app, which lets you order ahead and pick up your meal when it’s ready. It’s a huge time-saver and keeps the fun (and the food!) flowing.
And lastly, William, if you’re looking for something extra special, you might consider a
Fantasmic! Dining Package, which combines a delicious dinner with reserved viewing for the spectacular nighttime show—a perfect mix of good food and even better memories.
I’m wishing you all the best (and maybe a dash of pixie dust!) as you search for that perfect dinner reservation, William. I just know a magical table is waiting for you somewhere at The Happiest Place on Earth!
See ya real soon!
