why can I not book River Side /French Quater to July 2021?

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ana Paula!

You must be very excited to plan your 2021 visit to Walt Disney World and picking that perfect Walt Disney World Resort hotel is one the most important steps. Great question!

As Walt Disney World planned its phased reopening, the focus was on assisting Guests with modifying existing 2020 reservations, so Guests were able to begin making 2021 reservations for select Disney Resort hotels starting on June 24, 2020. The list of those select Disney Resort hotels is available on this super-helpful post Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go. At this time, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is not included on that list of available Resort hotels; however, it may be added in the future.

If you are ready to book your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, I recommend that you find an alternative Walt Disney World Resort hotel that is available for those dates. Should Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside become available in the future, you may want to modify your reservation so that you can stay there. This way, you can make all of your additional plans, knowing that you'll have a magical place to call home throughout your stay.

Let's take a look at some Walt Disney World Resort hotels that are similar to Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside so that you'll have some options. Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is, like Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, a Moderate Resort, meaning pricing will be similar. This particular resort is just beautiful, having undergone a renovation that updates the rooms into very modern, yet cozy spots to relax after your fun-filled days in the parks. I stayed there most recently in November and was very impressed with all of the gorgeous new features.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is another Moderate Resort that is available during your stay, and it's truly a fan favorite. The Spanish-style pool and Caribbean theming (plus optional pirate-themed rooms) are unique to this property, but the addition of Disney Skyliner Transportation makes getting to and from park fun an aerial breeze!

For a Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay that is unlike any other, check out The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. On our last stay, our gorgeously renovated cabin was the perfect place to relax both before and after a busy day of park fun. This gorgeous 750 acre forest property will give you lots of space to explore, but it's only a ten-minute boat ride from Magic Kingdom Park!

As you explore options and plan your upcoming Walt Disney World visit, Ana Paula, be sure to send more questions our way. We love to help!
