Why am I not able to book a park reservation in Dec? My hotel reservation is made and we are annual passholders. Everything is linked but it says our passes are not valid. Calendar only goes to the end of Sept.

    Hiya Cheryl!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! As a fellow Annual Passholder, I am so glad you stopped by and asked us your question today, and I can't help but share that I am so jealous that you are a Florida resident as well! Living in Florida truly sounds so magical, especially to us Canadians. I would take alligators over snow anytime!

Now, let's talk about those theme park reservations! I am glad you wanted to plan your reservations in advance, as there is nothing worse than not being able to visit the theme parks because the park reservations are sold out. The main thing I can think of when it comes to your issue is your passes' expiration dates. Indeed, your Annual Passes may be expiring at the end of September, which would explain why you would not be able to make theme park reservations past that point. For example, when I try to book theme park reservations past my pass' expiration date, I get the same issue. To view your pass' expiration date, log into your My Disney Experience account and click on "My Profile." Then, go into the "Memberships & Passes" section, and you will be able to see your Annual Pass' expiration date! You can also see this information in the "My Plans" section under the "Tickets & Memory Maker" tab. If, however, your Annual Pass should still be valid in December, I suggest reaching out to a Cast Member via chat, email or phone, as they will be able to help further!

If you would like to renew your Annual Pass, there are three ways to do so: online, in person at a Ticketing window or on the phone with a Disney Cast Member. If you are using the monthly program, you will only be able to renew it online or in person. You will be able to renew your Annual Pass up to 60 days in advance and 30 days past your expiration date, so it may be helpful to know when your pass will expire. Also, although this is not required to renew your pass, I would suggest ensuring that you receive your Annual Passholder news via email, as you may receive a renewal notice as a reminder. As mentioned, this renewal notice is not necessary for the renewal process. Simply, I think ensuring you can receive those emails is important in general as that is also how you will receive all the news about special offers for Annual Passholders!

I hope this was helpful, Cheryl, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other questions, or if you need suggestions for your next stay-cation, please don't hesitate to reach out. It is always my pleasure to help a fellow Annual Passholder!

    Have a magical day,
