Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Robyn. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chat about park hopping. It's actually my favorite way to spend a Disney day!
Robyn,
park hopping returned to us at the start of this year and looks a little bit different than it did before. Here is how park hopping is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must have park pass reservations for the initial theme park they'd like to visit each day
- On the day of, Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. This sort of "activates" your park hopper feature
- It is not necessary or even possible to make multiple park pass reservations to hop in one day. Only that first one is required
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
- To make park hopping a bit more convenient for Guests at this time, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided
Because the Walt Disney World Theme Parks are still operating at a limited capacity, park pass reservations are required for all Guests, regardless of tickets, to help control the crowds at each theme park. They want to make sure there is room for every Guest at one of the theme parks which is why an initial park pass reservation is required on each day you'd like to visit Walt Disney World. After 2:00 p.m. you are able to hop to any or all of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks throughout the rest of the day without making additional park pass reservations.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion, Robyn. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun and happy hopping!
