    Why is Magic Kingdom extending hours on Monday December 18th 2023?

    Hi Katie, welcome to planDisney!

    How exciting that your magical Walt Disney World vacation begins tomorrow!!  This truly is the most magical time of the year.

    I checked the Hours & Events Calendar for the entire week and you are correct, Magic Kingdom Park will be open until 11:00 pm tomorrow and if you didn't notice, it will be open until 10:00 pm on Wednesday.  Magic Kingdom Park will close earlier on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday to accommodate Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which begins at 7:00 pm (please note if you have tickets for the party, you can enter Magic Kingdom Park any time after 4:00 pm).

    Katie, I hope you have time in your schedule to visit some of the resort hotels to enjoy their festive decorations. Many of the resorts have spectacular gingerbread displays that are truly a must-see!  Here are my favorite resort hotels to visit:

    Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
    Disney's Contemporary Resort
    Disney's Beach Club Resort
    Disney's Yacht Club (new gingerbread display debuting this year)
    Disney's BoardWalk Inn
    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
