    Why is Magic Kingdom closing at 6pm on January 23rd, 2017? Will this cause more crowds at the other parks? Thanks!!

    Hi Claire! When you see that a park is closing earlier then expected on any specific date it is likely due to a buy out of the park. Although this happens rarely at the most popular park, the Magic Kingdom, it sounds like this might be what is happening on January 23. Since January is one of the slower months they would be more likely to have this happen versus one of the busier times of the year.

    Keep checking the calendar for updates as things do change.

    As far as making the other parks more crowded it is tough to say. Guests might enjoy using a free evening for a relaxed dinner or a trip to Disney Springs. Since the Magic Kingdom will not be open for a full day other guests might use their tickets for a park that is open later. Guessing how crowded a park will be on any given day is impossible. Plan your trip to what works best for you and enjoy every minute of a great Disney vacation!
