    why does the magic kingdom close at 5pm on May 16th? Is there something going on that night? Thanks.

    Hi Scott!

    I am sorry you won't have a whole lot of time at Disney's Magic Kingdom on May 16th. Typically, when a park closes early they have reserved the whole park for a specific group (lucky them). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out who has the park on "lock down" that day. Hopefully, it doesn't inconvenience you too much during your vacation. Plan to spend some time at your hotel, or take a tour of some of the other great hotels on the property. If you have Park Hopper option with your tickets, head on on over to another park and have a blast! Have a wonderful vacation!
