    Why are my kids listed as children for the resort and as adults for everything else if they are over 10? Won't I get stuck with kids meals with our dining plan then? How can I be sure?

    Hi Karen!

          I know that it can seem confusing, but it really is pretty straightforward.  Disney considers a child to be 3 to 9 years old for the Disney Dining Plans and children that age will get children's Dining Credits for kids meals.  Children age 10 and up are considered adults for the Disney DIning Plan and therefore will receive Adult Dining Credits.  The Park tickets work in a similar fashion.  Children 3 to 9 can get a children's Park ticket and children 10 and older have to get an adult Park ticket. As for the Resort rooms in Walt Disney World, an adult is considered to be anyone over 18 years old.  Unless your children are 19 years old or older, they will still be considered a child as far as the room is concerned.  Please don't hesitate to come back and ask us Moms and Dads some more questions!  We love helping people out!
