Why isn’t Moana in the parks as a permanent character?? She would be so much fun to see and have a meet and greet. Has Disney ever commented on her character for potential future experiences?

    Hi Katherine!

You are going to have an incredible summer vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many new things at the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs that you will be able to enjoy during your vacation. I'm also counting down to my own summer vacation and I'm sure I'm just as excited as you are! Be sure to make your FastPass+ reservations as early as possible to get the best selection of reservations for attractions and entertainment events that are on your "must-do" list.

Moana is such a popular Disney Princess and she is definitely one of my favorites! In fact, my kids and I love to sing the songs from her movie at the top of our lungs. Unfortunately, Moana has been so busy sailing across the ocean that she does not currently have a scheduled Character Experience at Walt Disney World Resort. However, in previous years, she has met with Guests at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The Disney Imagineers are always working on bringing new experiences to the theme parks for Guests to enjoy, so I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as your trip approaches for announcements about new things headed to the theme parks. You never know who you will get to meet during your vacation!

Come back to see us if you have any additional questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
