Why does HS only have Fantasmic a couple times a week? Planning our 3rd trip in Dec and only having 2 shows while we are there. One of those nights going to MVMCP. My DD really wants to see show but it is so hard to plan & make it with limited showtime

Hi William! I understand it is always hard to fit everything into your itinerary when you are planning  a Disney trip.  It is because there are so many great things to see and do in all four of the parks as well as Downtown Disney and the resorts. I have been to Disney well over 100 times and still find new things to try with each visit.

Fantasmic is a popular show but was scaled back to just a couple times a week over a year ago. The decisions are made on show times with great care and consideration. Crowd levels are the biggest factor that dictates the number of days and times for something like Fantasmic.  You can note that during busy weeks the show is actually done twice in a single night.

It is hard to please everyone in the family but what can't be done on this trip can be put at the top of the list for your next Disney vacation!
