Hi there! Welcome to planDisney, Robin! I’m so glad to be able to help you today.
I'm so glad to hear you are thinking about booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There is nothing quite like the thrill of planning a vacation, is there? My husband often jokes that within minutes of dropping bags in the door after my latest visit to Walt Disney World, I've already popped my laptop open to book another! What can I say? The magic is always calling me! If you ask me, it's always the right time to plan your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Of course, that goes double these days with all the fabulous new attractions, restaurants, and so much more to enjoy. Plus, if you visit any time before March 31st, you’ll arrive just in time to join in on the fun of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. How cool is that? So, let’s get you on your way to the vacation of a lifetime!
When booking your Walt Disney World vacation, you can either book a package with tickets, ground transportation, etc. or book a room-only reservation. It looks like you’re hoping to book a room-only reservation for now, so I’d be happy to show you the easiest way to do that!
- To start, head over to the Walt Disney World website.
- Look for the “Build Your Vacation” banner at the top of the page.
- Enter in your travel dates, party size, and preferred hotel (if applicable) and click on “View Rates.”
- Then, click on the hotel you are most interested in, and you will be taken to the page with all available room types.
- Right above the room types, you will find an option to select either “Room” or “Package.”
- Select “Room” to see the price for a room-only reservation.
Once you have found the room that works best for your family, select “Update Cart.” You will then have the option to add theme park tickets to your reservation. Then, simply select “No Tickets” to proceed with your room-only reservation and check out. Pretty easy, right, Robin?
Of course, you can also reach out to one of the helpful Cast Members on the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations team, who will be happy to discuss your budget, provide pricing, and help you book the best resort for your stay. You can reach them by calling (407) 939-1936.
I know there is a lot to consider when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so just know that the team here at planDisney is here to help! We love answering questions from fellow Guests to help make their vacation as magical as possible, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions you may have!
Happy Planning!
