Welcome to planDisney! I'm so sorry to hear that your handbuilt Lightsaber from
Savi's Workshop is not working. Due to all of the mechanics that go into a lightsaber, it is a giant mystery why some experience no issues and others can be glitchy. Either way, the Gatherers of Savi's Workshop strive to have everyone leave with a fully functioning lightsaber. I still remember how much care, thought, and resources went into building mine, so I can only imagine how frustrating that must be to have yours not be working. I do have a potential solution for you, so hopefully, we can avoid you traveling down the path to the Dark Side (unless, of course, that is where your allegiance already lies).
I recommend sending a dispatch to a Cast Member at Mail Order Merchandise. You can reach out to them by phone at 1-877-560-6477 or email at
merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com. If you choose to reach out via phone, they are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday. They should be able to help you troubleshoot or remedy your lightsaber issues and get you back to wielding a fully functioning lightsaber. Before you reach out to them, please make sure to gather as much information as you can about your Lightsaber, including:
-the date of assembly
-receipt details if you still have it
-and a description of the problem.
The more information they have, the better they will be able to assist you! I hope they can help you get back to your Jedi training quicker than Han Solo can make the Kessel Run.
