Why is my friends and family list not showing up when I try to make a park reservation, though it is linked?

Hello, Jamie! It’s my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney.

How exciting that you’re planning ahead for some time in the parks! While planning is fun, technical glitches aren’t and I’m sorry to hear you aren’t able to make Disney Park Pass reservations for your whole party.

In the past when I didn’t see a family member or friend who I had previously linked it was because they had not accepted the connection on their end. For example, for all guests who manage their own My Disney Experience account, once you have added them to your Family & Friends List, they will receive an alert and will need to accept the request. Make sure to ask everyone in your traveling party to log into their account and check. On the My Disney Experience Mobile App, click on the three horizontal bars on the bottom right and scroll down until you see “My Profile.” When you click on “My Profile,” you’ll be taken to a new screen on the app. At the top, you can toggle to “Family & Friends List.” If everyone you want to make plans with is listed there and none of the profiles note “pending,” there likely is a different cause.

My next step would be to make sure that all of your Family and friends who will be traveling with you have successfully linked any tickets to their accounts. Guests are not able to make a Disney Park Pass reservation unless a valid theme park ticket or Annual Pass is linked to their account. If you see everyone successfully listed under Family & Friends, please make sure each guest can see their tickets in their individual My Disney Experience accounts.

Jamie, in case your travel dates are further in the future, please keep in mind that beginning on January 9, 2024, many guests will not need to make theme park reservations if date-based tickets are purchased.

I hope that some of these suggestions help as you continue on your planning journey. When all else fails, call the Fairy Godmother (or in this case, Walt Disney World website support).

Wishing you a quick fix and a pixie-dusted visit! Please come on back with any additional questions.
