Why was French onion soup taken off the dinner menu at be our guest? We go to Disney world next week and that’s one of the things we have been looking forward to.

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kassie!

Dining is one of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World Resort and just like you I am always checking the menus on the My Disney Experience app to figure out where I want to eat when I'm on vacation. I have definitely been in the position where I've been itching to try a specific dish and then it's replaced with something else right before I go, and I know that can be frustrating when you've made your dining plans so far in advance. The menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant does change with the seasons so the French Onion Soup was replaced with something a little lighter over the summer, but I'm pleased to say that it is back! I think that French Onion Soup is the perfect hearty fall and winter meal, and you can order it off of the lunch menu when you're there next week. The soup is currently not on the dinner menu, but it doesn't hurt to ask the Cast Member serving you if you could have it for your appetizer. It's not guaranteed, but it's possible that they might be able to serve you some if they have it!

I hope this answers your question, Kassie, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
