I sit here answering this question from my “Disney station” (as my husband calls it) which includes a lovely garland that I have created of
MagicBands in a variety of colors! As I have (a few) vacations to Walt Disney World Resort booked, I went to
My Disney Experience to see if I could help you out. Once you have made a Disney Resort hotel reservation, you can go into My Disney Experience and select “MagicBands and Cards”, from here, you should see your Disney Resort hotel reservation listed and if you haven’t already customized it, it should say “get started” in a blue box. Under this, I do see my multitude of MagicBands listed as “active”. Keep in mind that you only receive a new MagicBand if you have a Disney Resort hotel reservation. If you have a ticket-only vacation, you will have to purchase a MagicBand or use a hard ticket (card). If ever you believe that there is a technical error, I would suggest
calling the My Disney Experience, MagicBands, and FastPass+ number and explain to them the situation. I once forgot to customize my MagicBand and I was SO SAD that I didn’t have my beautiful pink or purple accessory!
