Why are there different times for the Halloween dessert parties (8:45 for plaza garden and 9:15 for terrace view)? If you choose 8:45 can you watch parade and check in for party after, or can you pop in and out of party to watch the parade at 9:15?

Boo to you, Beth!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this spooktacular question.

It sounds like you are planning a frightfully fun time!  Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a delight for "ghouls" and boys of all ages.  Boo-king one of the special Halloween dessert parties offered during this event is a great way to put the treat in trick-or-treat.

I love attending dessert parties at Magic Kingdom Park.  A dessert party gives you the opportunity to enjoy some yummy sweets and the most breathtaking fireworks views.  Best of all, you don't have to cut your theme park fun short to save the perfect viewing spot.  A fireworks dessert party is a great opportunity to have an incredible spot to watch this year's all-new Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular Fireworks

Based on my experience at previous dessert parties, I believe that Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing starts earlier than Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace to ensure that guests have enough time to enjoy their desserts before being escorted to the reserved viewing section in the Plaza Garden.  The Tomorrowland Terrace party guests are able to arrive a bit later since they will be remaining in the same spot for both the dining and viewing portions of the party.

In order to make the most of your dessert party experience, I would not recommend popping in and out of the party.  From your dessert party spot, you will most likely be able to see quite a bit of Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade as it makes its way past Cinderella Castle.  If you don't mind staying up late, you might even want to catch the second parade of the night.  Crowds are often much lighter during the second parade performance, and it would not conflict with the dessert party.

Before you attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, be sure to check out these Disney Parks Moms Panel tips on how to make the most of this eerie event.  Wishing you a Halloween that's so good it's scary!
