Why is the cost/day lower if you buy tickets for only ONE day instead of two days??

    Hi Karin. Welcome to planDisney.

Thanks for bringing a great question to us on the Panel. The cost for one day ticket varies depending on which day you are visiting. There are 6 tiers to choose from: Tier 1 is the most affordable but has many blockout dates; Tier 6 has no blockout dates and is the highest priced ticket. If you purchase a two-day ticket, each day may cost more (compared to the lowest priced Tier 1 one-day ticket). However, some one-day ticket could cost as much as $159 or more per day, depending on the date. For example, if you buy a one-day ticket to visit on Christmas Eve, it will cost $159. If you wish to visit on a non-holiday weekday, Thursday January 13, it will cost $104. With a two-day ticket, you can choose any dates that are available, as long the subsequent visit occurs within 13 days of your ticket’s first use.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Karin. If you have more trip-planning questions, please feel free to write us again.

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
