Why is coffee sold in cups at Pop Century's food court when it is already available in the resort rooms and is free at the food court coffee dispensers? You do not need the chip activated in the resort mug for coffee, tea, or water, only sodas

Hi again, Leanne, and welcome back!

I recently shared my love of popcorn buckets with you, and I must also share how much I love coffee. That magical potion of deliciousness gets me ready to take on the world, Rapunzel-style, and I've definitely sipped my way around Walt Disney World. (For full disclosure, I also love Dole Whips, which you'll be able to enjoy at Everything POP Shopping & Dining!)

Guests staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort will find coffee makers standard in their resort rooms. However, the coffee found in the dispensers at Everything POP Shopping & Dining is actually not free. Guests who are on the Disney Dining Plan receive Resort Refillable Mugs, which they may use for coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or soda at the beverage islands. Guests not on the Disney Dining Plan may purchase those mugs for one length of stay price. Guests who do not have a Resort Refillable Mug should purchase a regular cup from a Cast Member, to be used for coffee or tea, just as they would purchase a chip-activated cup for soda. Tap water is always free.

Many Guests visit the resorts to check out the amazing theming and Disney details, or to shop, dine, or participate in an activity. When resort-hopping, I often pop into a Resort Quick-Service location to purchase a cup of coffee or tea (or I bring my Resort Refillable Mug to refill for free if I have one). One of my favorite things to do at Disney is wander with a delicious beverage!

Leanne, I hope that helps clarify the different options. If you're looking for free or free-flowing coffee, making a cup in your resort room or purchasing a Disney Dining Plan or Resort Refillable Mug is definitely the way to go. They come in fun designs and make great souvenirs, too!

Wishing you a vacation filled to the brim with coffee magic and Disney magic,
    Robyn
