I’m delighted to see you’re planning to become a new Magic Keyholder. On the first day of sales, I waited in the “virtual waiting room” most of the day to purchase a
Magic Key pass. I can understand your frustration, because I also initially arrived to the checkout process where it asked me to pay in full. Although I already signed into my Disney account and ensured that my California home address is linked, I was stumped at first as to why I wasn’t offered the option to pay in monthly installments.
I pressed the back arrow a few times and realized the problem. There was a page that asked to:
1)
Select the Number of Passports
2)
Select a Payment Type
a.
Pay in Full, or
b.
Monthly Payment Option for California Residents
Please be sure to select the second option and check the box that says “I am a California resident and at least 18 years of age” before moving to the next step. You’ll be able to see the payment due as well as your estimated monthly payments.
