Hi there, Dawn! Welcome to planDisney. A fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member AND a Michigander, too? Did we just become best friends? I certainly don't want to keep you waiting, so let's get right to it and track down the information you're looking for.
Sometimes the DVC vacation of your dreams isn't available when you search - and that's where the
Waitlist comes in. If a particular resort and accommodation isn't open on all of your desired dates, you can set up a Waitlist. Guests' plans change all the time, so it's always possible that the stars will align for your Disney wishes to come true! Members may have up to two active Waitlists per
Use Year, and you can choose whether to keep them active up to either 31 or 7 days before your desired check-in date.
Without knowing the specifics of your Membership, I can't definitively say why your Waitlist isn't appearing for you. Typically, a Waitlist is missing for one of three reasons:
- The Waitlist was automatically confirmed and is now appearing as a regular reservation.
- The request expired at the 31-day or 7-day mark before check-in.
- The Waitlist was made to replace an existing booking, and the swap has gone through.
I recommend reaching out to
Member Services, who can look at the details of your Membership and shed some light about what's going on with your Waitlist. I certainly hope the disappearance means that your reservation is confirmed!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Dawn! Please come and see us again anytime - we're here to help with any questions about your DVC Membership or your next magical adventure.
Welcome Home!
Susan
