Why can’t I schedule a Fast Pass for a solo trip if I’m local within the app?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Aline! With your trip to Walt Disney World Resort coming up tomorrow, I'm happy to help you make some FastPass+ selections so that you're able to bypass the standby line and enjoy some of your favorite attractions with a shorter wait.

Firstly, you'll want to make sure that your ticket is properly linked to your My Disney Experience account. There are a few different ways to link it and the app will walk you through each one, so if scanning it doesn't work you can try typing in the ticket number or the number on the back of your MagicBand if you have one. If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you can also link your ticket using your reservation number so you have lots of options to try. If your ticket is linked properly and assigned to the correct days, then you may want to check and see if you have any FastPass+ reservations made already. Sometimes I'll think I'm having trouble with the app and then I'll realize that my first attempt had been successful and I already have selections in there. Also, keep in mind that My Disney Experience will not let you book more than three FastPass+ times per day or make selections at multiple Theme Parks on the same date so take a look at your plans and check if any of those conflicts might be stopping you from making more selections.

If you've tried all of the steps I walked you through and you're still having trouble making FastPass+ selections, I recommend that you call the hotline for My Disney Experience, MagicBands, and FastPass+ so they can look into your account and see where it's going wrong. They'll be able to sort it out for you so you can go ahead and make your choices! Once you're in the Theme Parks and have used those first three FastPass+ selections, keep checking the My Disney Experience app to book another one. You can keep making FastPass+ selections one at a time, and I usually find it pretty easy to find times for the attractions I want to ride when I'm by myself! You should also take advantage of attractions that have a single-rider line, like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. It's usually a much shorter wait than standing in the conventional standby line!

Have a magical day, Aline, and enjoy your trip!
