Why can’t I reserve a virtual Que with my park hopper pass

Hi there, Tracie, and welcome to planDisney! I hope you had safe travels to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I'm sorry you're having technical difficulties joining a virtual queue, so let's do some troubleshooting to help your day go smoothly.

Since virtual queues are typically available for the newest and most popular attractions, they tend to fill up in seconds. I've joined many over the past year or so, and sometimes I get a boarding group, and sometimes I don't. What works best for me is hopping on my app a few minutes early, selecting my party, and watching my clock's second hand so I can tap "Refresh" at 7:00 AM on the dot.

When I didn't acquire a group in the morning, I had excellent luck joining the virtual queue at 1:00 PM. Remember, you must be scanned in at the theme park where the attraction is to join this afternoon queue.

A friend of mine had a similar issue last month, so I looked at her My Disney Experience mobile app and saw that the icon was outdated. After updating her app, she could purchase Disney Genie+ service and do other things on her device. Give that a try!

My final tip is to stop by Guest Relations before the 1:00 PM queue opens. Explain exactly what's happening when you try to join the queue; they should be able to see if there's an issue with your tickets or account. I look for the blue umbrellas throughout the theme parks since their wait times are typically shorter. Those Cast Members can work magic!

Tracie, I hope your visit is full of pixie dust and thrills! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
