Greetings, Dominique! From one Magic Key holder to another, welcome to planDisney. The
holiday season is my favorite time to visit the Disneyland Resort. Let's sprinkle some pixie dust and make sure you're all set for a December visit!
Dominique, the
Park Reservation Availability Calendar is a great tool for seeing the dates you can currently reserve. Just select "Imagine Key" to view the correct calendar. A date with a slash indicates that the Magic Key pass is blocked out that day. A circle with a slash indicates no reservations are currently available. I just checked, and at the time of writing this, I see reservations available for both parks with the Imagine Key for December 1, 2025.
Here are some reasons why you might have been unable to make a reservation:
- The Imagine Key allows you to hold two theme park reservations at a time. If you already have two reservations, you'll need to modify or cancel one before reserving another date.
- It's possible that reservations were unavailable when you checked, but they may have since opened up. If a date ever shows as unavailable in the calendar, it's a good idea to keep checking back! Guests can modify or cancel their reservations until 11:59 p.m. the night before, so reservations can even open up at the last minute.
- If you've recently renewed your pass, and your expiration date hasn't yet approached, you should see both your current pass (up to the expiration date) and your new pass (starting with the renewal date) in the theme park reservation area. Make sure you select the correct pass when making a reservation to see the correct availability.
If none of these apply to you and you are still unable to make a reservation, I suggest calling the
Magic Key Holder phone line to speak with a Cast Member. December is a popular time to visit, so I encourage you to make a theme park reservation soon, if possible.
Dominique, do you like peppermint? The
Disney Eats Instagram account recently announced the candy cane distribution schedule for this year – on December 1, candy canes are expected to be available (while supplies last) at Trolley Treats in California Adventure. You'll want to arrive early for the best chance of purchasing one! Also, make sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for the
holiday Foodie Guide. There are many tasty dishes, drinks, and treats to look forward to!
Dominique, I hope you can set up your holiday visits to the Disneyland Resort soon. It really is the most magical time of the year. If you have any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
