Why can’t I purchase tickets online ? Error message always comes up tried several times

    Hi Victor!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for reaching out to us hEAR!

Hmmm. This is a real head-scratcher. You're not the first one I've hEARd from who has had an issue in trying to purchase Disneyland Resort Theme Park Admission Tickets. While I don't know what the exact issue is that is causing the error for some Guests, I have two workarounds that can help get you and your crew to Mickey's house this weekend!

The first is to try to buy a Disney Gift Card with the card you wish to use, and then use the Disney Gift Card to purchase your Theme Park Admission Tickets. Physical Disney Gift Cards can be found at big box, grocery, and hardware stores all over, but your best bet would be to purchase an e-Disney gift card as that is delivered to your email within minutes. (It would take me longer to find my car keys than it would for the purchase to show up in my inbox.) There are two caveats to this plan: the first is that Disney Gift Cards can only carry a max of *$1,000 USD. Secondly, you might not be able to split an online Theme Park Admission Ticket purchase between multiple gift cards. The solution to this would be to find out exactly how much you need to put on a gift card by adding the tickets to your Disneyland cart first, or you could break your ticket purchase up over multiple transactions. As a bonus, any amount left over on your Disney Gift Card(s) can be spent inside the theme parks on everything from dining to souvenEARs to even your Theme Park Parking!

Another place you might be able to purchase Disneyland Theme Park Admission Tickets elsewhere and quickly would be a third-party retailer and then load them into your My Disneyland Account or Disneyland Mobile App. There are all kinds of blogger and travel agent retailers out there who are authorized to sell Disneyland tickets. However, my favorite place is the Target.com website as I very much trust them as my 5% RedCard savings apply to the ticket purchase.

Most Importantly, Victor, is to make sure that after you have your tickets loaded into your account, is to book your Park Pass Reservations. There are currently Park Pass Reservations available for the Fourth in both Disneyland Park as well as Disney California Adventure Park but act fast as park pass availability can change at any moment.

I hope one of these works out for you, Victor, and I hope that you have the best Disneyland day! Be sure to check out the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland planning questions, We're All Ears!
