Why can't I use my points for a late booking when I know rooms are available for paying guests

Hi Elizabeth! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I've asked the very same question, and I'm still trying to fully understand because the answer is multifaceted.

The short answer is there are separate inventories at Disney Vacation Club resorts - some exclusively available for members paying with points and a select number of villas are reserved for cash paying guests. So members can book resort stays even last minute with Disney Vacation Club points until that inventory is fully depleted and then no further reservations will be accepted.

I know it can be frustrating, but I always call Disney Vacation Club member services. They can call the resort directly and find out for sure if there is any availability where you're trying to book and elsewhere. I've had Cast Members work near miracles to ensure our vacation plans worked out.

Sending pixie dust wishes that you are able to book your reservation for a magical and memorable Disney vacation!
