Hey there, Olga! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. Chatting Disney is my favorite!
I just love MagicBands! Not only are they adorable accessories, but they are so convenient and make it so easy to get into my room, get into the theme parks, charge purchases to my room, and access Lightning Lane entrances, even when my hands are full of Mickey pretzels and ice cream bars. I order a new one (or two!) every time I visit
Walt Disney World Resort and choose my MagicBand according to the day's theme park and outfit. So, I'm more than happy to help you get your MagicBand for your upcoming adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
If you have a Resort reservation at one of the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, you should be able pre-order and purchase a MagicBand at a discounted, pre-arrival price up to six days before your arrival on the
My Disney Experience website. Just log in to your account, hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab at the top right and click "
My MagicBands and Cards." Then, just click the blue "Get Started" button to start shopping and purchase your perfect MagicBand. If you have a Resort reservation and this process is not working for you, first, make sure that your Resort reservation is linked properly to your account. Then, try clearing your internet browser's cache. If you don't know how to do this, a quick internet search can walk you through the steps. I find that after I do this, the websites I visit run faster and better. If it still doesn't work, I suggest calling a helpful Cast Member with My Disney Experience and MagicBands at (407) 939-4357 for assistance.
If you don't have a Disney Resort Hotel reservation, Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" You can still
purchase a MagicBand from shopDisney or Walt Disney World Resort once you arrive and then follow the simple instructions to link the MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account and tickets. You won't be able to use the MagicBand to charge purchases, but it will work for your theme park admission and Lightning Lane entry. Happy tapping, my friend!
Since you haven't purchased your MagicBand yet and you have some time before your vacation arrival date, I suggest holding off on your MagicBand purchase right now. The new
MagicBand+ is set to be released this summer, and it looks so cool! It will be interactive with different things and areas in the parks, while still having the same convenient functionality as the current MagicBands. Since the MagicBand+ could be released any day now, I recommend waiting on its release to see if you'll want one before purchasing your MagicBand. I mean, more magic is always better, right?!
I hope this was helpful, Olga, and I hope you find a MagicBand or MagicBand+ that is practically perfect in every way. Stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
