Hi Lamia,
It's lovely to see you stop by planDisney with a question!
As one space enthusiast to another, I am always happy to talk about
Space 220 Restaurant. As you have discovered, this is a hard-to-reserve restaurant. It is incredibly popular. I suggest that you keep checking. Also check for
advanced dining reservations at
Space 220 Lounge. In the past, reservations have appeared closer to our arrival date. Be sure you are checking across multiple days when you check for availability. I have also used an online dining reservation alert service for those hard-to-get Disney dining reservations.
If you are unable to secure a dining reservation, you can also check walk-up availability in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App when you get to ECPOT or you can check with the cast members at the restaurant. I encourage you to persist - keep checking. Space 220 is an experience. As much as I treasure the visual experience, I truly love the serenity in the restaurant.
As you prepare to visit EPCOT, be sure to review the
virtual queue guidance for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. On our last visit I was able to experience
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana and loved it. The artistic beauty and intentional design remind me of all of the reasons I love Disney.
There are a number of other dining locations that we love at EPCOT. While these cannot offer an experience like Space 220, they are unique. We love lunch at
Coral Reef Restaurant because we will make an 11:30 a.m. reservation and request a table right next to the aquarium so that we can get an up close view of the water life. Although requests are not guaranteed, cast members have always tried to accommodate us. At
Rose & Crown Dining Room we always request a table on the outdoor, covered patio as long as the weather is pleasant.
Lamia, I am sending a little extra pixie dust hoping you find that magical dining reservation at Space 220 Restaurant or Lounge!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
