Why can’t I book World of Color desert party on October 1, 2025? It says reservations closed.

Hey there, hi there, Billy! Welcome to planDisney. We are happy to have you drop by with your question for us.

I hope you are having fun planning your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort during the 70th Celebration and Halloween Time. Even as a Guest and Magic Key holder who visits often, I love planning my next visit and seeking out an experience I haven't done yet. I think the World of Color Dessert Party is a fantastic idea! I have done this once with a friend, and I really enjoyed the view and the dessert plate, which is now a fun dessert box. I see you are hoping to make a reservation for October 1, 2025, and thought reservations may be closed. There are World of Color Dessert Party showings that evening; however, currently all reservations are booked.

I know that's not the news you were hoping for, but I do have some suggestions. Don't give up! As you continue to inch closer to the date, Guests will be adjusting their plans. I recommend checking availability a couple of times a day when you think about it. You never know when a reservation will pop up! I have had great success, especially the day before my desired date, because Guests need to decide and cancel one day prior to avoid late fees. If that doesn't work, you can always inquire with a Cast Member near the check-in if there are same-day reservations available.

Billy, I hope you are able to secure your reservations or are staying long enough that another night may work. If you have any other planning questions, please come back to see us again!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
