It sounds like you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort and I'm happy to help you with your question. Dining is one of my favorite things about a trip to the "Most Magical Place on Earth," so I'm glad to see that you're planning your dining in advance!
Walt Disney World Resort has been in a phased reopening since July 2020 and as part of that, the
Disney dining plans are temporarily unavailable. This means that Guests cannot currently add the dining plans to vacation packages for their upcoming trips. While we have heard that dining plans will eventually be returning, we don't have any information about the timeline for their return. So since reservation availability is limited, I recommend that you make your vacation reservations without the dining plan for now and then upgrade your vacation package to add the dining plan if it becomes available as your trip approaches. Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements about new and returning experiences you can enjoy during your visit and hopefully, we will hear about the return of dining plans in time for your vacation!
Magdalen, I wish I had better news for you, but even without the dining plans, you can still enjoy fantastic dining experiences during your trip. If you're interested in paying for your dining expenses in advance of your vacation, then I recommend that you consider purchasing
Disney Gift Cards to cover your food budget. You can review menus online for the restaurants you're planning to enjoy and use them to determine the amount of gift card budget you will need!
