Hi Suzie, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I’m so happy to hear you’re planning to see shows as part of your itinerary planning for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The talented performers, incredible sets and effects, and the magical experience of seeing beloved stories come alive right before your eyes – they’re all great reasons to take in as many shows as you can, and they add so much value to the cost of your ticket. (Plus, let’s be honest: Disney days make for tired feet, and shows are a great chance to relax and enjoy a drink or snack while taking in that world-class entertainment!)
Hakuna Matata, Suzie, because I’ve got an easy solution to your question. While it’s true that not all shows appear on Walt Disney World’s online
Park Hours calendar, you can see a full list of entertainment offerings on the
Disney Entertainment and Shows page, which you can filter by entertainment type, interests, age interests, and accessibility. If you visit any show’s web page, you’ll see a calendar where you can select your date to see showtimes. When you arrive in the theme park, you can also pick up a Times Guide to see the most up-to-date showtimes for the day of your visit.
Rivers of Light – We Are One is a lovely celebration of the circle of life. Recently updated to include
Disneynature footage and some gorgeous new visual effects, I think you will be spellbound by this tribute to the power of beauty of nature. Did you know there is also a
Rivers of Light – We Are One Dessert Party? Dessert parties are a great way to enjoy delicious, themed treats and drinks (I adore the lotus blossom glow cube you can get at this party) and guarantee VIP seating for the show. Another good option is the
Rivers of Light Dining Package, where you can make a special dining reservation at
Tusker House Restaurant or
Tiffins Restaurant, enjoy a fabulous meal, and score guaranteed seating for the show.
I hope you enjoy the show, Suzie, and your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
