Why aren’t dates available for character dining in August/September 2026?

Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Merrie. It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you today. And now, we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as we proudly present...your answer.

All of the delicious meals, snacks and treats are part of what I look forward to the most when visiting the Disneyland Resort. So I'm definitely with you when it comes to securing those dining reservations. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. With your visit in August, it looks like it's just a tad too early to start booking. I do love that this is already top of mind to be one jump ahead like Aladdin. When you're ready to make your reservations, keep in mind that you'll only be able to book for days that are within the 60 day window.

Lucky you, you'll be visiting during the spooky season, Halloween Time! We often see seasonal autumn themed offerings for Goofy's Kitchen and Storytellers Cafe. If you don't see reservations available on the first day of your booking window, don't fret. It could just be that Goofy and Mickey are cooking up something extra spooktacular and need a little more time. I recommend keeping an eye on Disney Parks Blog for any frighteningly fantastic updates and announcements. These themed offerings also tend to be quite popular, so get those fast fingers ready!

Merrie, I hope this is helpful as you're getting ready to snag all of your dining reservations. Please come back to see us with any other questions that you might have. Here's wishing you a magical (and delicious) time at the Happiest Place on Earth. Thanks for being our guest!
