Ahoy, Kara!
Thanks for reaching out to us at planDisney with curiosity about future sailings. Ahh
New York, New York – is there a more quintessential port to feel the classic spirit of cruising and like you’re in a Hollywood movie as you sail away?
You’re correct in that there are
no itineraries departing New York City currently listed on the Disney Cruise Line website beyond November 2023. I don’t have any official information for you as to why, other than the history of
Disney Cruise Line announcing new itineraries about 12-18 months in advance and perhaps they are not yet ready for reservations. There are many factors that go into planning specific sailings on certain ships from each departure port and perhaps there are other plans for 2024 that haven’t yet been announced.
As the Disney fleet is expanding to include the stunning
Disney Treasure in 2024, I’m also anxious for more news on future schedules and itineraries. It does appear that the Disney Dream, which is sailing out of New York this fall, will be sailing out of
Fort Lauderdale after its return from Europe in late 2024. These itineraries available to book now include a stop at the
brand-new private island of Lighthouse Point! This
incredible island oasis looks to be an unbelievable experience for Disney Guests, and I can’t wait to see everything that’s in store when it has its grand opening next year.
With this information, we’ll have to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as new itineraries and plans are announced surrounding the launch of the Disney Treasure and placement of the other five ships. Meanwhile, I encourage you to
explore all the amazing itineraries and departure ports offered during the window when you’d like to have your next cruise. You can always shift plans as announcements are made, understanding the
cancellation policies in place for anything you do book now.
I’m sorry I don’t have more firm information for you Kara, but I hope this gets you dreaming of a new adventure with Disney Cruise Line soon. Please come back and “sea” us with any more questions you have on setting a new course for adventure!
See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls you!
