    Why was I able to just purchase tickets but not make reservations? Apparently it is needed to visit the park? This is very confusing and I don’t know what to do

    Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Parveen!

    Your arrival is so very soon to the Disneyland Resort, how excited you must be! It is truly such a magical place, and knowing that Walt Disney himself walked about at Disneyland Park evokes such a nostalgic feeling - I am truly happy for you as a fellow Canadian Disney fan!

    Parveen, the system currently in place for visiting the Disneyland Resort theme parks is the Theme Park Reservation system using a valid theme park ticket. Therefore, I recommend you first link your theme park tickets to your Disneyland Mobile App which will also be very useful to you during your visit.

    To link your Disneyland Resort theme park tickets to the Disneyland Mobile App:
    1. Once registered, please refer to the Home Page and look for three short horizontal lines at the bottom right and tap.
    2. You will see the “Welcome Parveen” page and many planning fields, please select “Tickets and Passes.”
    3. On the “Tickets and Passes” page please tap on the short vertical blue lines with the “Link Tickets & Passes” for one ticket at a time.
    4. The next page will instruct you to either scan the barcode or manually enter the ID Number for each ticket, one at a time.  

    To make Theme Park Reservations:
    1. Please return to the Home Screen and look for the “+” in the circle at the bottom centre and tap.
    2. A list of tabs will emerge, please select “Make a Park Reservation” and you should be able to select any linked theme park tickets from your previous action to include in the Theme Park Reservation.

    If you experience any difficulty finding theme park availability kindly keep refreshing the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar, as Guests do cancel, leaving openings for others. You are also welcome to contact Disneyland Resort “Tickets” for further assistance.

    Using the Disneyland App you will see during your visit another theme park ticket option called the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane service. Upon purchase, this service will enable you to select an arrival window for attractions that feature a Lightning Lane entrance, thereby saving you time waiting in those lines.
