Who’s eligible for extended evening hours ? Only certain resorts or is it available to anyone with a ticket that day ?

    Hi Teresa!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney! I love it when a Guest gives us the opportunity to assist with another upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. It truly means a lot that you trust us with something so special.

Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are a wonderful way to experience the magic of Walt Disney World. With limited crowds and amazing weather, there’s something special about the parks at night. It feels like you’re in another world, and seeing the theme park lit up is breathtaking. I’ve enjoyed Extended Evening Hours several times and can assure you it’s definitely worth experiencing. I was able to ride many attractions with minimal wait times and capture some fantastic photos.

Currently, only EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park offer Extended Evening Hours, which typically alternate on Monday and Wednesday. To take advantage of this perk, you must be a Guest at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Deluxe Villa Resort, or other select hotels. When staying at one of these resorts, simply scan your MagicBand+, Key to the World card, or use MagicMobile to enter, and the Cast Members will verify your eligibility at that time.

Another way to enjoy limited crowds is by booking an Enchanting Extra, such as a Disney After Hours event. These special events offer similar perks, with even fewer Guests in the park. My 12-year-old loves the After Hours event at EPCOT. We do it every year for his birthday! There’s a DJ with amazing music, and we once rode Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind nine times in a row. My whole family had a fantastic time, and I highly recommend it.

Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can also take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, which allows you to enter the parks 30 minutes before they open to the public. This is a great way to experience popular attractions with shorter wait times and is just one of the many benefits of staying on-site.

Teresa, once again, thank you for giving me the pleasure of assisting you today. If you have any more questions, I'm always here to help!

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
