If my whole party has a Fastpass for a ride but are also planing on using rider swap will the half of the party who is using rider swap previously booked Fastpass be cancelled when they get a rider swap pass? or will they have the option to use eaither one

Hi, Kayla! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with this great question. This past November when we traveled with my sister's family, including her one-year-old daughter, we had this exact situation come up several times. In one instance, we all had FastPass+ selections for Avatar: Flight of Passage but needed to split up so someone could explore The Valley of Mo'ara with my niece. We decided to check to see if we could use the Rider Switch Service for my sister and her husband and also include my husband so he could experience the attraction again. He was really excited that it did help him fly twice!

Kayla, when you approach the attraction's entrance, inform the Cast Member that you want to assign Rider Switch, which can be assigned to up to three members of your party. They will then scan the MagicBands or Disney Theme Park Tickets of those three guests to assign the Rider Switch pass. Please note that the Cast Members are able to check to ensure that everyone has a FastPass+ assigned if everyone that is riding first as Party One is planning to utilize the FastPass+ queue. In our experience last November, each time the Rider Switch was assigned and we had a FastPass+ selection for the attraction for that person, the FastPass+ still remained. So, in the instance I mentioned above, my husband was able to use his original FastPass+ to ride with us on Avatar: Flight of Passage and then return later with my sister and her husband to use the Rider Switch.

Kayla, please note that this is subject to change at any time, so I recommend you speak with the Cast Member who is assigning the Rider Switch to see if the FastPass+ is now being converted to a Rider Switch pass or if it will remain in your account. I do hope this information helps you plan a pixie-dusted day!
