My whole family has never been to Disney World. I would love to start planing but I am so overwhelm at everything, I need help. where do I start? I want to know if I can prepaid a trip, etc...

    Welcome to planDisney, Veronica!

I am SO excited for you and your family: your very first visit to Walt Disney World is on the horizon!

There are so many magical things to see and do there, so it's best to start with what's most important to you. First, take a look at who is traveling with you. Little ones? Spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom Park. Foodies? EPCOT will be a huge hit. Star Wars fans? A day or two at Disney's Hollywood Studios is a must-do. Animal lovers? Animal Kingdom Theme Park will wow you.

Once you've glanced through each park's highlights, decide how many days you'd like to visit each, allowing yourself leisurely arrival and departure days, if possible. If you'd like to enjoy some pool time, too, build in a day or two to do just that. Add up those days, and you've got the start of an itinerary!

Next, look at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel options and consider what's important in your home away from home. Have a little one in a stroller? A monorail-accessible resort will make commuting with a little sleepyhead a breeze: Disney's Contemporary ResortDisney's Polynesian Village ResortDisney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Want a little extra room? Take a look at one of the gorgeous Walt Disney World Resort deluxe villas or a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Want to wake up to the sights and sounds of the savanna? Book a stay at the spectacular Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

When you choose a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, you'll prepay for your hotel accommodations and theme park tickets in advance of arrival. When we're heading to Walt Disney World, we like to bring a Disney Gift Card to pay for magical meals, spectacular souvenirs, and exciting experiences throughout our stay. It's an easy way to pay while visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Once you've selected your Resort hotel and dates of stay, you can start planning your park days, including one of our favorite activities: dining at Walt Disney World Resort. We like to select one Table Service restaurant per day of stay, selecting one that is either in the park we're visiting that day or in an adjacent resort, taking some time to relax, enjoy a fabulous meal, chat about the fun we've had and the plans in store for the rest of the day. You'll recharge your batteries before heading back out to make more magical memories.

As you plan each step of your vacation, Veronica, you'll have lots of questions. Be sure to come back and ask all of them right here at planDisney: we love to help!
